SALES POLICY
All sales are considered final and no returns or exchanges will be accepted. All items are sold in “AS-IS” condition, without any warranties, whether expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Further, we disclaim any warranty on the condition of any item sold.

We do not assume, or authorize any person to assume on our behalf, any liability in connection to the sale of any items sold by C&T Electronics. The above disclaimer does not, in any way, affect the terms of any applicable warranties from the manufacturer of the item sold.

BUY & PAWN POLICIES
The following FAQs do not pertain anything related to the buying of gift cards. Please check our gift card buying policies for more information. Should you have a question that isn’t answered below, contact us or give us a call at 619-500-3349.

Are you licensed buyer and/or pawnbroker?
Yes. We are a licensed secondhand dealer and pawnbroker by the state of California and report to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department (SDSO). Our license number is 000000946.

What do you offer on items?
With the exception of gold and silver, we usually offer 30%-50% on the recent and trending sold value of an item according to eBay, with used items considered “used” and brand new considered “new-other” or “used” (due to the inability to extend product warranty to buyer). Precious metals are appraised using our refiner’s schedule and the current price for gold and silver; the offer we give is 50% of that estimate. Pawn offers are considerably less than that of non-loan offers.

Do I get cash for my items?
Yes. If you accept our offer we will give you cash for your item(s). There are no checks or wiring of funds.

How do you weigh gold and silver?
We weigh gold in grams and silver in troy ounces.

Do you buy jewelry and watches?
Yes. However, in both instances we may need to send the item to our jeweler, which can take one business day to be evaluated and properly appraised. This may also done for gemstones.

What do you buy?
Jewelry, Diamonds, Electronics, Computers, Laptops, Tablets, Gaming Consoles, Video Games, Gadgets, Stereos, Power Tools, Watches, Gold and Silver. This list does not necessarily reflect our current stock.

Why do you not buy or pawn cellphones or smartphones?
Today, most cellphones, smartphones and even some tablets are not considered the property of their owner. There are two main reasons for this.

In most cases, the owner is making payments on the device and is paying for it on a month-to-month basis with their carrier as an add-on fee to their service subscription. They are obligated to pay for the financed device in full. This is considered an item “on loan” (or lease-to-own) and also applies to phones subsidized on the grandfathered 24-month service contracts. Thus, the phone is not “yours” until you either complete the contract or pay off what you owe on the phone.

Most people are not aware that you need “permission” from the carrier to sell your phone. It needs to be released from your account with your carrier. Smartphones and some tablets today have a unique number associated with the device called ESN, IMEI, MEID or iCloud. This number is associated with your account with the carrier. If the original owner stops paying the carrier’s bill or reports the device stolen, the number will be blocked from being activated by that carrier. This is especially prevalent with Apple devices, which use both IMEI and iCloud.

While it is possible to check the information on websites like Swappa, we know, based on experience, that this method of examination is not fool-proof.

What do you not buy or pawn?
Art, Casino Chips, Cellphones, Collectibles, Comic Books, Comps, Currency, Memorabilia, Platinum, Palladium, Handbags, Perfume, Cosmetics, Chinaware, Antiques, Vehicles, Furniture, Clothing, Sporting Goods, Toys, Musical Instruments, Signed Items, Firearms and Vintage Items. We may, at our sole discretion, decline to buy or pawn an item even if it is not in the list of exclusions above.

Do you offer trade?
Depending upon your situation and what you are selling you may trade something in-store for your item, provided it is the same value or any difference is paid.

Do I need an appointment?
No. During regular business hours an appointment is not required; however, we recommend you call us to schedule a free consultation in order to guarantee time to be set aside for you to discuss your item(s) with us. We may also reserve a parking space for you. Without an appointment you may be required to wait and parking is not guaranteed.

Can I sell or pawn to you if I live out-of-state?
No.

What type of identification do you take?
Most state and federal government-issued IDs are accepted, but must be valid and up-to-date. We do not take temporary cards. Our accepted forms of identification are: State Driver’s License, Passport, Passport Card, Permanent Resident Card, State-Issued Identification Card or Military ID. All forms of identification are checked against a nation-wide criminal database and DMV records.

How old do I have to be to sell or pawn something?
You must be at least 18 years old and with proper identification (see above).

Do you take broken gold and silver pieces?
Yes, you can sell them regardless of the condition.

What condition do tools and electronics need to be to sell or pawn them?
All tools and electronics must be in good working condition. Electronics should be between three months to three years old, depending upon the item. Tools should be no more than two to eight years old, depending upon the type and manufacturer. All items with a screen must be unscratched and in excellent condition. Video games must be for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. Video game consoles and accessories must be PS4, Xbox One or Nintendo Switch; they must also be pre-released from their designated “primary” account, if applicable. Laptops and other computers must have a legal copy of Windows 7-10 or Mac OS X Yosemite-Sierra. Tablets must have at least Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) or iOS 9 or Windows 10.

Do you consign?
No, we do not consign.

Do you pawn?
Yes, we do pawn-type loans. The loan is for 120 days and requires collateral (the item being pawned). If, after the term, you do not collect your item, it will be forfeited to the pawnbroker and may be sold. To collect the collateral for the pawn you must pay back the loan in full, plus interest and any applicable fees. Payments will not be accepted and you must have your pawn ticket to redeem.

Can I get my merchandise back after selling it?
No, items cannot be reclaimed.

Do you offer layaway?
Yes. We offer an up to 30-day layaway period on items sold in store. A Layaway Agreement will need to be signed and a non-refundable deposit of between 10%-50% of the total balance given after endorsement. Layaway’s are available to customers of at least 18 years of age.

What information do you collect?
As required by state law we are required to collect the following information for each transaction: full name, current address, phone number, date of birth, race, sex, eye color, hair color, height, weight, identifying marks, thumbprint, signature, current photo and all details about your item(s). We will also require your Social Security number when you pawn to check your MLA status.

Is my transaction confidential?
All transactions are digitally archived for three years and records are available to law enforcement agencies as required by state law. Other than requests from law enforcement for such records, all transactions are private and not shared with anyone.

90 day warranty

REPAIR WARRANTY POLICY
When applicable, C&T Electronics warrants all television repairs to be free from defects in workmanship and material for a period of ninety (90) days from the date the repaired item is received by the customer. The repair warranty period will not alter any original warranty periods previously in effect unless the repair warranty period is greater than the original warranty duration in which case the longer warranty period will apply.

The repair warranty covers specific repair work done on the equipment only and does not cover damage or failure to other assemblies or components incurred during the repair warranty period. Any associated damage or failure to the equipment and its coverage under the repair warranty will be evaluated and repaired at the sole discretion of C&T Electronics. All other terms, conditions, exclusions and procedures as stated in this policy will apply to the warranty on repair items. C&T Electronics is BEARHFTI licensed (#70188, Type E – Electronics Service Dealer) and insured.

Services, special offers, store hours, mobile transactions, gift card payouts, documents and other information not explicitly provided our official websites (www.ct-electronics.com or www.fuller-electronics.com) including (but not limited to) any info published on social media websites, classified ads, and second party websites may be inaccurate. C&T Electronics and Fuller Electronics & More are not responsible nor liable for any incorrect or invalid material provided on unofficial sources.

REFUSAL OF SERVICE
C&T Electronics reserves the right to refuse service to anyone, for any reason, at any time, within the legal limits set forth by federal and California state law. This includes customers who are: unreasonably antagonistic or using profane language, come in just before closing time, lack adequate hygiene, not properly dressed, act in a disorderly manner, destroy or intend to destroy store property or cause a public disturbance in or upon the premises. This right extends to telephone calls, mobile services and dealings on our premises.

OBSERVANCES
We are closed the following holidays during the calendar year: New Year’s Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Our store will close at 2PM on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
